Shadow box bank- Inspired by Cute as a Fox's Girly Bank

Here's my take on a shadow box bank I saw on
Cute As a Fox.
PS- She has some of the cutest ideas on her blog! Definately a good one to follow

I searched the Dollar Stores religiously for about a month and always came up empty handed as far as shadow boxes were concerned. (Notice I said "as far as shadow boxes were concerned". . . I never come out of the Dollar Stores completely empty handed)

The DI came through though!

What a mess after all the "cotton stuff" was removed. . .
(Yeah. Take a close look at the picture above. . . . enough said.)

A little sandpaper and paint fixed it right up!

Isn't that little puppy the cutest?!? I found all the little cut outs at Michaels for super cheap. What made them even more fantastic than being super inexpensive, was the fact they were all ready painted!

This little bank found its new home in Magoo's room. She was so excited to see it and was impressed with the fact that it already had a little money in it :)

You could open a store. Seriously with all your cheapy finds at DI and how creative you are, you could open a store. Let me know when you open.

Hahaha. . . no store as of yet BUUUUTT- Some friends of mine, along with myself, are having a SERIOUSLY HUGE garage sale May 22nd to clear out some of the 'old' to make room for some of the 'new-old'. If you are in the Southeast Idaho area, it would be worth your time to check it out.

This is a seriously cute idea. As it fills up with coins it will look great. The paint wash on the back looks pretty. Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog, I appreciate them and you.
